Baseball America’s midseason update is out and they have re-ranked the Tampa Bay Rays’ top 30 prospects in their organization, including their recent crop of draft picks.
At the top of the list is the top prospect in all of baseball, the wunderkid that is Wander Franco. In their blurb on Franco, BA notes how he struggled to adjust to the weather in the Midwest League in April, hitting .311, the lowest average in a month of his professional career.
Meanwhile, Brendan McKay comes in as the Rays 2nd best prospect, having already made his Major League debut and displaying his ability to be a well above average big league starter.
