There was a complex question in yesterday’s roundtable about our favorite baseball statistics, that I thought deserved a closer look.

I was an APBA guy
The APBA publicity machine said that their cards were so good that over the course of the season, Vada Pinson’s card would generate exactly the same stats that he got during the season. That didn’t seem to be the case in the 61 season. I got the 66 season, and Joe Torre hit way more than 61 homers. But it passed the time.
