ST. PETERSBURG -- Tampa Bay Rays fans had seen Wednesday’s game before. In fact, they saw it Tuesday night.
The starting pitcher has a rough first inning but limited the damage to a pair of runs. The offense did just enough and the Rays won, this time 3-2 against the visiting New York Yankees in front of 11,924 at Tropicana Field.
On Tuesday it was Chris Archer, who shook off a tough first inning to pitch the Rays past the Yankees.
On Wednesday it was rookie Nathan Karns.
Brad Boxberger worked the ninth inning of both games and now has 10 saves in 10 save chances.
