It’s Wander Week in Tampa Bay. Preternaturally talented 18-year-old Wander Franco, the great Rays hope, who still wears braces on his teeth but who is the top-rated prospect in baseball, is in Clearwater this weekend as the Charlotte Stone Crabs, the Rays Class-A affiliate, play in Clearwater. Then Franco will be in Bradenton for three games.
The Rays joyful can’t-miss future shortstop, the one in the yellow Mohawk, who takes a knee in the outfield and prays before games, isn’t even in The Show yet and he’s already a show.
