Rays trade rumors surrounding starting pitcher David Price and second baseman Ben Zobrist are heating up, as the Tampa Bay Rays are in ongoing discussions with the Seattle Mariners about a potentially massive trade.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, nothing is settled as of yet but the teams are engaging in active dialogue:

The Mariners look to be shifting focus after what looks to be a fruitless attempt at landing an impact bat elsewhere:

The Rays are looking for a blockbuster package in return for David Price along with a couple of impact pieces for second baseman Ben Zobrist. As the nature and tenor of the talks haven't been disclosed, it is unknown how close the sides are in finding a happy medium in negotiations.
