Zettler fired as AHL Syracuse coach, Groulx takes over

The Lightning made a big move with its AHL affiliate in Syracuse, relieving head coach Rob Zettler of his duties and hiring Benoit Groulx.

Zettler, who took over for Jon Cooper in 2013 when he became Lightning coach, finished his third full season with the Crunch, which missed the playoffs this season.

Groulx is an accomplished coach not only in juniors (Gatineau in QMJL), as well as with AHL Rochester. He also led Canada to the gold medal at World Juniors in 2014, serving as an assistant.
