NEW YORK — He’d let in 10 goals in two games and all the people who aren’t Ben Bishop, which is pretty much all of us, or don’t know Ben Bishop, assumed the sky was falling on the Lightning goaltender. He’d cracked. He’d fold.
So, Sunday morning, before Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, someone asked Bishop, who talks on game days (hey, why not?) if he’d done any soul searching, as Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist said he had after two six-goal outings. Bishop admitted: he had not.
“No, no, just the same routine,” he said.
