A sea of blue that is expected to flood the Channel District for the Tampa Bay Lightning’s playoff game on Saturday will extend beyond Amalie Arena and into the Garrison Channel.
That’s because the City of Tampa will dye the channel “Bolts Blue” in honor of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Chicago Blackhawks. The electric blue dye, similar to the dye used to turn the Hillsborough River Kelly green around St. Patrick’s Day, will be poured into the channel just outside the arena at 5 p.m.
