More than a Stanley Cup will be on the line when the Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Chicago Blackhawks — at least as far as Mayors Bob Buckhorn and Rahm Emanuel are concerned.
The tradition of the opposing teams’ mayors making a “friendly wager” on the outcome once again will be in effect for the Cup series, which begins Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Amalie Arena in Tampa.
And it’s a food challenge, with Buckhorn putting “some of Tampa’s best beer and best food” while Emanuel is wagering some famous Chicago deep-dish pizza and cheesecake.
