It was less than a year and a half ago that the Tampa Bay Lightning acquired J.T. Miller from the New York Rangers along with Ryan McDonagh. He was re-signed as a restricted free agent to a five year contract with a salary cap hit of $5.25 million. Miller had a decent year by his standards with 13 goals and 47 points. He was played all over the line up never really settling in to one spot. And now, he’s on his way out. To the Vancouver Canucks.
The Lightning receive a conditional 2020 first round pick, a 2019 third round pick, and goaltender Marek Mazanec in return for Miller.
