As the 2017-18 NHL season comes to a close, it’s time to reflect on the best of the regular season. As a top team in the Eastern Conference, the Tampa Bay Lightning has a lot to be proud of.
First off, the Bolts finished the regular season on top of the Eastern Conference, with 113 points. After a disappointing season the year before, which resulted in the Lightning missing the playoffs, the Bolts advanced to the playoffs with the first seed.
The first round proved easy for the Bolts, quickly advancing after winning four games out of five against the New Jersey Devils.
