A start reminiscent of a scene from the television show “The Walking Dead” put the Tampa Bay Lightning in a tough ‘come from behind’ position. The result was a disheartening, yet fitting 4-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
The game began about as bad as it could for a Lightning team back on home ice for the first time in over a week. Whether it was through sloppy passing, little skating or, perhaps, overconfidence given recent success against this particular opponent, the mistakes led to the Sabres carrying play for much of that first 20 minutes.
