The Tampa Bay Lightning seems to have gotten an early start on the Free Agency Period, which officially began at noon this afternoon, as they have already made their first official move of the off-season by acquiring right wing Erik Condra from the Ottawa Senators.
According to Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times, the Tampa Bay Lightning has offered the Michigan native a three-year deal with an average salary of around $1.25 million per year. While we will admit that we initially had some reservations about the acquisition, this could turn out to be the steal of the century for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
