Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois took care of another piece of off-season business as he signed defensive prospect Dyllan Gill to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 19-year-old (he turns 20 in a couple of weeks) was a seventh-round pick of the Lightning in the 2022 draft. Had they not signed him this summer, they would have lost their draft rights and he would have been an unrestricted free agent.
The right-shot defenseman spent the last four seasons in the QMJHL with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, appearing in 185 games and recording 89 points (15 goals, 74 years).
