The Tampa Bay Lightning has a tough road ahead of them as they charge back into the Amalie Arena on Tuesday evening to face off with the Montreal Canadiens in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately, there is one of our Boys in Blue who will not be taking the ice with the team.
According to Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Lightning right wing Ryan Callahan was experiencing abdominal pain earlier this afternoon. Apparently, Callahan was sent to Tampa General Hospital for further evaluation.
According to Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune, once Callahan arrived at the hospital it was determined that he was suffering from acute appendicitis and was immediately admitted to the hospital.
