According to Matt Sammon of Lightning Radio, the Tampa Bay Lightning are signing restricted free agent goaltender Louis Domingue to a two-year contract. Sammon also reports that the salary cap hit will be $1.15 million.
The Lightning acquired Domingue from the Arizona Coyotes in November for minor leaguers Tye McGinn and Michael Leighton. Domingue had been waived by the Coyotes after a rather rough start to the year that saw him go winless in seven appearances with an .856 save percentage.
After being acquired by the Lightning, he was sent to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.
