Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman made a comment that he would like to see a number of the currently outstanding contracts come to some sort of conclusion by this weekend. Judging by the looks of things, Yzerman has already gotten off to a pretty good start.
Right now, Yzerman and the Tampa Bay Lightning’s scouting team is heading to the First Niagara Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres, to prepare for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Needless to say, Yzerman has a lot of cards he can play to move up in the draft if he so chooses to, but it will involve a lot of wheeling and dealing in the opening minutes of the draft.
