If someone were to ask me which Tampa Bay Lightning prospect was the most underrated, my answer would be forward Tanner Richard. The Swiss forward really started to come into his own last season and became a key player on a Syracuse Crunch team that really lacked the ability to put the puck in the back of the net consistently.
The Markham, ON, Canada native was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft. During his draft year, Richard was playing for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of Swiss National League A before moving back to North America to play his junior hockey.
