Jonathan Marchessault may not have had an opportunity to play in very many games last season, but the experience he gained along the way could serve to be invaluable as the young Tampa Bay Lightning center makes his way to the big stage, or arena as it were.
Much like Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson, Jonathan Marchessault was not drafted by any of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League. The good news is that this didn’t stop him in any fashion from making his way into professional hockey.
The young Quebec native made his way to the Tampa Bay Lightning towards the end of the 2013-14 season as he was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning along with left wing Dalton Smith in exchange for Matt Taormina and Dana Tyrell.
