It looks like the Tampa Bay Lightning are making a couple of moves to get ready for the trade deadline. On Tuesday they placed Cameron Atkinson on waivers. They also signed Logan Brown to a one-year, $775,000 contract and then placed him on waivers as well. If both players clear waivers, they will be eligible to be sent to Syracuse (in the case of Brown, he’s already there) which could create some flexibility for Julien BriseBois.
Atkinson was signed as a free-agent this summer and has appeared in 36 games for the Lightning, recording 3 goals and 5 assists.
