The Tampa Bay Lightning have had quite the interesting ride since they officially kicked off the off-season. When the off-season kicked off, Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman had a pile of contracts a mile high that were in need of negotiating. Thankfully, Yzerman has been able to work his magic and a number of those contracts have been signed, sealed, and delivered.
While there are still a couple of contracts looming off in the distance, the Tampa Bay Lightning still find themselves poised for a successful 2016-17 season. That being said, there have been quite a few changes over the course of the off-season, one of which surrounded the buyout of former Lightning defenseman Matt Carle.
