The Tampa Bay Lightning kicked off Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight at the Amalie Arena in the Sunshine State against the New York Islanders. Things were definitely looking up for the Bolts. Just three minutes into the game and the Tampa Bay Lightning were already up by a goal. Unfortunately, as things always seem to be for the Tampa Bay Lightning, it’s one step forward and two steps back.
The Lightning is already missing two of the most integral players in their system with captain Steven Stamkos and defenseman Anton Stralman both forced to ride the sidelines through the first round (and presumably part of the second round.
