When the Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Erik Condra to a three-way, $3.75 million dollar contract on July 1st, I really liked the move. The team was getting a hard working player that would be an asset on the team’s power play while also having the ability to chip in a few points on the fourth line. When he has been in the lineup, Condra has played his role well, but now it may be time to look in a different direction.
During this recent stretch where many of the team’s regulars were out of the lineup, players were called up from the team’s AHL affiliate in Syracuse to fill the voids that were left behind.
