There is some definite good news coming out of the Bolts Nation today. As most of you know, Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos was set to undergo vascular surgery this morning in the hopes of alleviating a blood clot found near the Lightning captain’s collarbone.
Well, it seems Lightning fans can breathe a sigh of relief today. Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced this afternoon, via the Lightning’s official site, that Steven Stamkos in fact undergone surgery and it expected to make a full recover from his injuries.
