The Tampa Bay Lightning has been forced to deal with quite a few injuries this season, which has caused Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach Jon Cooper to think on his feet and shake up the Lightning lineup a little bit to adapt to the new players entering the lineup. As these players start to recover and rejoin the lineup, the shakeup resumes as some players are shuffled around to make room for others.
This is exactly what occurred earlier this morning. Tampa Bay Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman elected to assign Lightning defenseman Nikita Nesterov and left wing Tye McGinn to the Syracuse Crunch.
