If you have ever been to Amalie Arena to watch a Tampa Bay Lightning home game, you have heard the voice of Sonya Bryson through the arena’s speakers and into your ears. As PA announcer Paul Porter asks everyone to stand up and remove their caps, the crown erupts at the sounds of Mr. Porter introducing Sonya as the person who with sing the national anthem of the United States of America.
She was always seen proudly wearing her United States Air Force uniform whenever she sang the anthem, and the way she sang the anthem didn’t change each time she did it.
