The Syracuse Crunch defeated the Providence Bruins 5-4 tonight at the War Memorial. The Crunch managed to split the first two games of the series against the Providence Bruins after winning 6-3 on Friday and losing 2-1 in overtime on Sunday.
After failing to win a single game in Toronto in the second round matchup against the Toronto Marlies, there was some definite concern about the Crunch being able to win an away game against Providence. That was especially concerning since Providence has home ice advantage in the series.
Fortunately, the Crunch snuck out that first win in the series and have taken back the advantage of playing on home ice.
