The Syracuse Crunch announced that they have signed forward Mikhail Shalagin to a one-year AHL contract. Shalagin was selected in the 7th round, 198th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in this year’s draft. In addition, the team announced that they exercised the one-year option on defender Nolan Valleau’s contract. Valleau started last season in the ECHL with the Orlando Solar Bears. He was signed to a professional try-out and then in the beginning of December signed a one-year AHL contract with an option for another year.
Let’s talk about Valleau for a moment and then we can dive deeper into Shalagin.
