RALEIGH, N.C. — The Lightning didn’t forget how to score goals, after all. It just felt that way.
For more than a week Tampa Bay sputtered with the puck, struggling to score goals.
In the span of four games the Lightning were shut out twice and held to less than two goals for four consecutive games.
On Sunday, however, Tampa Bay found a week’s worth of goals — literally — lighting the lamp four times in a 4-3 victory against Carolina in front of an announced crowd of just 9,081 at PNC Arena.
Tyler Johnson snapped an 12-game goalless stretch to start the season as the Lightning’s offense looked more like itself.
