DETROIT — Erik Condra took in a view from the upper levels for the first two games of the Lightning’s opening-round playoff series against Detroit.
But with the series shifting to Joe Louis Arena, Condra was called on to step into the lineup in place of injured winger J.T. Brown, who is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury suffered in the first period of Game 2 while blocking a shot.
With Brown unavailable, Condra had the chance to play his first postseason game in his home state of Michigan — he grew up in Livonia, about 15 miles outside of Detroit.
