The Tampa Bay Lightning season officially got under way on Thursday as almost all of the players reported for their physicals and medicals. Everyone who showed up (there was one prominent name missing) was declared healthy except for Daniel Walcott (still recovering from a shoulder injury) and lifted a bunch of weights.
It’ll be an active camp as there are a few spots on the bottom lines up for grabs. Before we know it, competitive hockey will be under way (the first preseason game is next Tuesday). Of course, the most glaring admission from the roster is Brayden Point.
