-The Tampa Bay Lightning made their next round of cuts on Sunday, re-assigning nine players and placing four more on waivers.
Of note is that one of those reassigned was forward Mitchell Stephens, a player that many felt looked really good during the Lightning’s pre-season. In addition to the reassignments, the Lightning also put a group of veterans on waivers including defenseman Cameron Gaunce and goalie Scott Wedgewood. Gaunce is considered a strong candidate for the captaincy in Syracuse.
