The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Monday morning that they have sent forward Alex Volkov to the Syracuse Crunch. Volkov played in four games (primarily on the Steven Stamkos line), scored no points, and had three shots. When he was on the ice at 5v5, the Bolts posted a 47% shot share, and got 40% of the expected goals. The Lightning currently have 12 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goalies on their roster for 22 total. Possible call-ups from the Crunch include Cory Conacher, Gemel Smith, and Danick Martel.
