Prospect Spotlight: Cam Darcy

The Tampa Bay Lightning drafted Cameron Darcy in the seventh round, 185th overall, at the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. The South Boston, Massachusetts, native is making his presence felt with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League (AHL). Crunch head coach Rob Zettler described him as a player with a good skill set.

Before debuting with the Crunch this season, the 6-foot, 190 pound center played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with two different clubs: the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

When asked about his adjustment from the QMJHL to the AHL, Zettler said that the talent in the AHL is bigger, faster and stronger.
