After not being a player the past few years, the Lightning got busy in the lead up to and kick off of free agency.
Tampa Bay opened with a miss on Joe Pavelski, but is expected to make a few smaller moves instead of one big splash. The Lightning raised some questions by signing goalie Curtis McElhinney and added defenseman Luke Schenn as Anton Stralman headed to South Florida.
Goalie moves
One place the Lightning seemed set was NHL goalie. Tampa Bay needed minor leaguers but the Lightning was in good hands with Andrei Vasilevskiy and Louis Domingue.
