The Lightning made a couple moves this morning, reassigning defenseman Nikita Nesterov and forward Tye McGinn to AHL Syracuse.
McGinn was expected, especially with the return of Cedric Paquette Thursday. Plus wing Jonathan Drouin (lower body) is getting closer. McGinn did have a special week, called up Sunday in time to face his younger brother Brock in Carolina. McGinn also got to see older brother Jamie, a wing with the Sabres, though was scratched Thursday and didn't get to play him.
The Nesterov move was more interesting. Nesterov has often been a healthy scratch this season, playing in just six games, including Thursday, when he didn't play particularly well.
