PHILADELPHIA — The Lightning asked a lot of Louis Domingue on Saturday, allowing a season-high 45 shots.
For most of the game against the Flyers, the goalie stood up to them, but Philadelphia applied pressure in the second half of the third period, getting four goals to tie the score at 5.
The Lightning won 6-5 in overtime on a goal by Anthony Cirelli.
On one hand, Domingue gave up five goals. But he also made 40 saves, and he shouldn't have had to.
"He was our savior there in the first period, one of our worst," defenseman Ryan McDonagh said.
