TAMPA — Go Johnny Go!
The chorus of the Chuck Berry classic “Johnny B. Goode” bellows out from the public address system in Amalie Arena every time Tyler Johnson scores a goal.
But many times this season, fans have been asking, “Where did Johnny go?”
“He puts a lot of pressure on himself to be a leader on this team, and he is one,’’ center Brian Boyle said.
After two sensational seasons, Johnson has struggled during his third full season with Tampa Bay.
Injuries have played a major role in Johnson not living up to the standards he’s established and he’s been out of the lineup on three occasions, resulting in 13 missed games.
