TAMPA — The Lightning playoff schedule was released on Sunday, and Tampa Bay will open defense of its Eastern Conference crown at home Wednesday.
For the second consecutive season the Lightning host Detroit in the opening round of the postseason with a possible Game 7 to be held at Amalie Arena on April 26.
Tampa Bay knocked off the Red Wings in seven games last season, with Ben Bishop pitching a shutout in the decisive game of the series, the first of three shutouts Bishop posted in the postseason last year.
