The Lightning picked a good time to take its first lead over the Panthers on Saturday.
J.T. Miller tipped a puck into the Florida net with 6:49 to go in regulation, and that goal ended up the winner in a 3-2 victory in the Lightning's final preseason game at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.

The Lightning, which starts the regular season at home against the Panthers on Oct. 6, finishes with a 4-3 exhibition record.
Tampa Bay trailed 2-1 at the end of the second, but Mathieu Joseph scored his fourth goal of the preseason to tie the score early in the third.
