PITTSBURGH — One game after suffering an embarrassing victory, the Lightning went out and put together the feel-good kind of win.
Steven Stamkos recorded his 300th career goal — becoming just the third player in franchise history to reach the milestone with the team — to help lead Tampa Bay to a 4-2 victory at CONSOL Energy Center on Saturday.
The victory is the first regular-season victory for the Lightning at CONSOL Energy Center and first in Pittsburgh since March 31, 2010, when Mike Smith pitched a 2-0 shutout.
Matt Carle recorded his first points of the season with a goal and an assist while finishing as a plus-3.
