Lightning sign forward McGinn to 1-year deal

The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Tye McGinn to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced today.

McGinn, 24, had seven points (two goals) in 51 games while splitting time with the San Jose Sharks and Arizona Coyotes last season.

McGinn (6 feet 2, 205 pounds) played his first two seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers, registering a career high in goals (four) during the 2013-14 season.

A fourth-round pick by the Flyers in 2010, McGinn has 46 goals and 79 points over three seasons in the American Hockey League.
