Lightning sign Forward Jeff Tambellini to 1 year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Jeff Tambellini to a one-year contract, the team announced on Sunday.

Tambellini, 31, has played in 242 NHL games over six seasons with the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks.

During the 2014-15 season, Tambellini played in 30 games with Fribourg-Gotteron of the Swiss-A League and scored five goals and 13 points.

While skating in the NHL, Tambellini scored 27 goals and 63 points.

He was picked 27th in the first round of the 2003 NHL Draft by the Kings.
