TAMPA — Even coming off a Stanley Cup run with a roster seemingly set to remain almost completely intact for the upcoming season, the Lightning dipped into the free agency pool on Wednesday.
Tampa Bay signed forward Erik Condra to a three-year, $3.75 million contract that carries an annual salary cap hit of $1.25 million. Condra’s agent, Steve Bartlett, confirmed the details of the deal on Twitter.
Condra, 28, was a seventh-round draft pick by Ottawa in 2006 and spent the past fives seasons with the Senators, appearing in 299 games scoring 33 goals and 87 points to go with 136 penalty minutes and a plus-26 rating.
