While the Tampa Bay Lightning are having a three-day pause between games, the Syracuse Crunch played their sixth game of the season. The Crunch defeated the Cleveland Monsters 3-2 in shootout, improving to 3-2-1-0 this season.
The Crunch opened scoring in the first period, when Gage Goncalves took advantage of a loose puck after a heavy shot by Alex Green from blueline. It was already the third goal of the season for Goncalves.
The second period went scoreless, but the Monsters managed to score a quick equalizer at the beginning of the third period.
