The Stanley Cup made its way to Shaunavon, Saskatchewan home of former Lightning defenseman Braydon Coburn. It was a year delayed, but the big blueliner finally had his day with the Cup in his hometown.
The Lightning and the NHL continue to do an excellent job of navigating the trophy’s trip around the globe for the current and former Lightning players who have won it over the past two years. It is somewhat convenient for the league that the Bolts pulled off the back-to-back titles because the logistics of managing two different cup winners would have been much, much more difficult.
