Lightning Recall Mike Angelidis, Luke Witkowski from Syracuse

The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Mike Angelidis and defenseman Luke Witkowski from the Syracuse Crunch today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. Additionally, the team announced defenseman Matt Taormina has been reassigned to Syracuse.

Angelidis, 30, has skated in 13 games with the Crunch this season, posting three assists and 19 penalty minutes. The Crunch captain ranks fourth on the team for penalty minutes. Angelidis has skated in 591 career AHL games, recording 119 goals and 248 points to go along with 1,231 penalty minutes.

The Woodbridge, Ontario, native has skated in 10 career NHL games, all with the Lightning over parts of three seasons, registering one goal and 17 penalty minutes.
