TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward Mike Blunden from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Blunden, 28, has been recalled twice prior by Tampa Bay this season on November 9 and November 15 and played in two games with the Lightning, recording three shots on goal. Blunden has skated in 20 games with the Crunch this season, posting five goals and nine points to go along with 26 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-4, 217-pound forward ranks tied for third on Syracuse for goals and is tied for eighth for points.
