TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Nikita Nesterov and forward Tye McGinn to the Syracuse Crunch today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Nesterov, 5-foot-11, 191 pounds, has played in six games with the Lightning this season, averaging 15:21 in ice time per game. He has played in 33 career NHL games, all with the Lightning, notching two goals and seven points with a plus-5 rating. Nesterov made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut last season, recording a goal and six points in 17 games.
A native of Chelyabinsk, Russia, Nesterov has skated in 86 career AHL games, all with the Crunch.
