TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Tye McGinn and defenseman Matt Taormina to one-year, two-way contracts, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
McGinn, 25, skated in two games with the Lightning last season, recording one shot on goal. He made his Lightning debut on November 1 against the Carolina Hurricanes, skating in 8:58 time on ice. McGinn played in 72 games with the Syracuse Crunch, posting 20 goals and 44 points to go along with 53 penalty minutes. The Fergus, Ontario native ranked third on the Crunch for points and goals.
